Following the lecture and presentation tour by project leader Dimitrij Leporskij and InterNICHE coordinator Nick Jukes through Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in May 2012, Dimitrij returned to both Central Asian countries in May 2014. During this four-week trip, he gave presentations at four universities in Kyrgyzstan and two in Uzbekistan. As a result, three agreements were signed on the spot. Some of the teaching materials were handed over directly, while additional resources were sent by mail later on.
The Dean of the National Balasagyn University in Bishkek was impressed by the quality of the computer programs such as Digital Frog and Anatomy of the Rat, and the agreement was signed on the spot on May 19, 2014.
As a result, 210 frogs will no longer be decapitated alive for the study of organ functions using their muscles and nerves.
